Statistically men have poor driving records compared to women, especially those in the 15-20 age group. This information comes from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) web site.
Here is a quote from page 11 of the NHTSA report Traffic Safety Facts: 2003 Data, "In 2002, the fatal crash involvement rate per 100,000 population was almost 3 times as high for male drives as for female.
Males accounted for 68 percent of all traffic fatalities, 69 percent of all pedestrain fatalities, and 88 percent of all pedalcyclist fatalities in 2008."
I think this is proof that we should outlaw male drivers, hahaha.
i dont know if all women are but i do know that i am i have had one speeding ticket in my life and my hubby has had 2 in year
I don't think you can really say either sex is a better driver. While men's testosterone tend to get them into trouble some women drivers are just plain stupid. Case in point..I was leaving a parking lot going down one of the rows and this woman just backed right out into the side of my truck going really fast. And while it can be said that men drive faster I have a lead foot myself so I don't think that's valid.
In my experience, it depends more on the person and less on the sex of the person. I have known some great women drivers and some awful men drivers and vice versa.

Men and women have are both good at driving but in different ways.Well some are, and some should never have been issued with a license!! Statistically men get involved in bigger crashes - hence why their insurance is generally greater that female drivers, but women have a lot more minor bumps and scratches (generally caused from appalling parking skills, because men have greater spatial ability than women and so can park more successfully than women).

no, girls say they are better but, the truth is man, they are CRAZY FLIPPIN DRIVERS. i know cause i live w/ one and my girlfriend is CRAZIER than me. i got a heavy foot, but, her, damn she floors it and makes turns like ur bout ta die.
Some say women are better drivers than men. Mostly for inceased patience. I personally believe I am a better driver than most men, not all. I have never been involved in an accident, never been stopped for ticket (I drag race at a track) and I have driven over 2 million miles accident/ticket free in a semi across 48-states. I am not the average woman.
