Why do buses always come in 3?
Answers:
Well as A qualified bus driver, The real reasons why buses always come in 3's are:
Traffic congestion,
Road Traffic accidents,
Road works,
Illegal/ Inconsiderate Stopping or Parking by other road users, (use a car park, thats why we have them!)
Cyclists!! (no matter how hard you try you just can't get past them!)
Bus in front breaks down causing the buses behind to be late and over crowded!
PASSENGERS who:
Have incorrect tickets for their journey
Do not know their destination,
Do not have the correct change, IE Pay for a fare costing less than £1.00 and use 10 or 20 pound notes (it takes time to count out change or ask other passengers for change, or its 6am and they are your first passengers)
Passengers who pay high fares in pennies (AGAIN it takes time to check that it is correct! so stop it!)
Passengers who are running for a bus, flagging us down when they still have 1/2 a mile to go to the actual bus stop and as soon as we stop for them, they stop running and take a leisurely stroll which holds us up! (Keep running or get to the stop on time!)
Passengers who flag down a bus to ask why a different numbered bus is late or what time the next one is! (check on the time table please)
People who just stop us to ask the time! (Go to the phone box and dial the speaking clock)
Disruptive behavior by some towards other Passengers or drivers.
Passengers who insist on trying to get buggies and trollies on without folding them first or trying to get on with them when there is clearly no room for them ( get the bus behind, there are 3 buses to choose from after all. So why does everyone insist on getting on mine?).
Passengers struggling on and off with exsesive amounts of luggage or shopping (get a taxi or don't buy more than you can carry)
Passengers who ring the bell (just for fun) but don't really want to get off (you know who you are and you are soooo not funny!).
OTHER DRIVERS
The Bus driver in front who persistantly goes past people at stops so the poor bugger behind gets all the passengers, which means they have more passengers to pick up, fares to take, tickets to check and more to drop off, all of which slows us down and allows the bus behind to catch up. Then the Bus Driver who is directly behind you, who stays there!! Refusing to overtake you and pick up passengers, causing you to become later and later, by now more and more passengers are arriving at stops ahead!! So now you have even more passengers to pick up, more fares to take, more tickets to check and even more bloody drops to make!! OK now you are very late ( in frustration you throw the time table out the window!) and the Bus behind the Bus behind you has caught up too, so hence you have 3 buses all in a row!
And the list goes on, but the worst offenders of them all when you consider the above are by a long shot, THE BUS COMPANIES who set the unreasonable and unrealistic time tables that Bus Drivers are expected to adhere to!!
3some
Sods law mate
they don't, its just that every time they come in ones or twos you don't notice it cos it isn't out of the ordinary enough, you only notice it when they come in groups of three or more.
I live in South Sheffield. Round here buses come in threes on the grounds that there's safety in numbers..
they like to do it in groups
Just like men - you wait ages then several come along all at once - hmmm, choices, choices.
cause the drivers are all scivers and they meet up at the bacon butty van, then they all leave together.
because they like to have a brew together
