Which Sat Nav for UK and Europe?

I am looking for a new SatNav system (UK-based) to replace my Navman 610 which I am very unhappy with. Reasons being:
1) The routing is very difficult to control, and is rarely sensible
2) It will not re-route to avoid traffic - even when you drive off a road, it puts you back on straight-away
3) I have had 2 in-car power-supplies break in 12 months.
4) It often loses position (particularly in London and around Heathrow!) and can take an age to find itself.

Anyone have any particular love for your system that might be relevant to my requirements?

GARMIN Makes good in built or dvd satellite navigation. Also try tom. tom
Tom Tom Go is excellent but i think all of them have their downsides. Most drop out of range in built up areas like London. Our Courier Company used Tom Toms as they are easy to use, and you can update them for Europe.
please dont buy one, there is nothing sadder than seeing these cheapo units stuck on the windscreen of the cheapest cars. Ok if a car comes with it built in its not so bad.
I had a car with a built in unit which I used about twice as the voice was a pain and also it never took me the way I wanted to go. They are a real naff gimmick.
