Does volkswagen caddy 1.9D have catalytic converter?
Answers:
I am going to guess that when you say a 1.9 Caddy D, you are talking about a VW Pickup truck or tiny boxvan based off of the Rabbit/Golf platform. (They do not have Caddys in the US. They called it the "Rabbit Pickup", and it was only out here for a couple of years in the early/mid '80s).
Since you said it was a 1.9L diesel, that means after 1985(Before that they were 1.6L), and "D" and not "TDI", my guess is that it is before 1995. In that year range, Euro diesel engines were not required to have a catalytic converter. Only with the later TDIs did VW add catalytic converters for diesel engines.
if its new then yes it will
anything that is U.S. emission legal (around 87- now)will have a catalytic converter from the factory, as far as a diesel im not sure but it should, but im not sure what a VW caddy is? but the 1.9L turbo and N/A both have catalytic converters on them
I presume it's a diesel. If so it does not have a catalytic converter. No diesel does.
