my ford fiesta has been hit by a brand new vw passat. The damage is moderate to my vehicle, however, i think its going to take more money to fix the car than it is actually worth. Will the insurance company write it off and what are your reasons for your answer??
Answers:
They are only going to give you what your vehicle is worth. They are going to pay you $7,000 to fix a vehicle that's only going to be worth $4,000 when they are finished.
I was in an accident last year. A truck hit me going 45+ miles an hour. Anyway, my 2003 Taurus was totaled. They totaled it because it was going to cost more to fix it than the car was worth. So, they paid me what it was worth and I used the cash as a down payment on a new car.
Chances are they will write it off and you will get what your vehical is worth rather than what it costs to fix it.
