I can tell you from insurance back round that foreign cars hold their value longer. The higher end foreign cars like BMW and Mercedes are the best then Volvo & volkswagen etc

There isn't. Its all personal Opinion. There is not just one that is better then any other.
JEEP. All years and all makes of Jeep. All other four wheel drive producing companies do not have the knowledge or ability to know more about four wheel drive systems, than Jeep does. They started it in 1941. Sure Ford produced the MB Jeep just like Willy's-Overland did for WW II, but Ford flopped when they made the M151 and M151A2 MUTT. Those things were dangerous and would flip over at 25 mph. I was always scared to drive them when I first enter the US Army in 1987. Thank God AMC produced the Hummer, now GM does.

It depends upon what you are looking for. All car companies make some good and some bad stuff. Americans Build the best Trucks. Ford, Chevy, Dodge in that order.Some people follow Japanese auto companies as if they are Gods. I personally find them tremendously overrated. My current favorite is Ford. They are kind of homely looking but after driving GM for a decade, it is nice to drive a car that the interior is not falling apart. I really like the looks of the German cars, but they are way overpriced and reliability is questionable. I really like the new Ford Fusion.I hope they make a wagon/5-door version of it. It would really tempt me to buy a newer car if they did!
Every car they make is practical (once you buy it), and they are reliable(now). You can't beat their mix of performance and luxury.
