I have a problem with my VW Polo Climatic Control system, can you help?

I drive a VW Polo Tdi (02 plate). When the temperature is set at 18 degrees, it blows out either very hot or cold air, there is no constant temperature. Also when the ac button is pressed, it does not light up or blow out lots of air. Thanks in advance.

Hi, the first thing you should do is read your owners manual, just to make sure you are operating the settings correctly. Not because I think you are not, but because if you are, then this means the system IS broke. This also means you will need to take the car to a VW dealer, so they can plug their computer in and run a check. There are so many sensors and control modules, it is the quickest way to find a fault. Unfortunately, its not always the cheapest, hence making sure you are working the stuff right in the first place.
