1991 RM125 no spark?
Answers:
The pick up coil should not touch the reluctor on your generator flywheel. An airgap of roughly 25 thou is required. Are your generator coils in good order? these probably sit inside the flywheel and you need to locate the 3 wires as they exit the motor and connect to the loom and check the resistance across the 2 wires from the source coil against specification.
Do the same with the wire from the pickup coil and a good earth.
Obviously you will need a good service manual for the specs.
doh, 'course they do, not going to work otherwise, is it now, what are you ? a 'girl'
that last guy dosen't know jack they do not touch but sit very close spark is generated by magnetic induction check that the coil is properly grounded ie mounting points are clean
No it isn't supposed to hit, that little piece of steel is the trigger to signal the spark. I know this may sound stupid, but have you tried disconnecting the kill switch? Sounds like you have swapped over a whole ignition system with no progress, does the ignition rotor have magnetism? If it doesn't that may be your problem, assuming you are checking with a new plug or one known to be good. Even a sheared flywheel (rotor) key would give you spark, but at the wrong time, so disconnect the kill switch and try it.
if you bridged the wiring on kill switch it MIGHT short out spark , try in off position also had them break wires at steering lock
