How are bus destination blinds made?
Answers:
When you say "blinds" I assume you mean the overhead sign, such as on a Greyhound Bus, Charter buses, transit buses, etc. On transit buses, (older style) there are two rollers in which the destinations can be rolled forward or backwards. There is usually an electric motor which is controlled by a toggle switch, allowing the operator to scroll forward or backward through the destinations until he finds the correct one. There is a small window the operator looks through and on the side of the sign (on the inside) is either the full name or abbreviation of the destination and he uses this to set the destination. On newer buses, it is controlled by computer and the operator can set the destination by inputting the code into a keypad on the sign. Hope this helps.
