If yellow lines marking restricted parking are in poor repair does this make any resulting fine invalid?
Answers:
nope, cause apparently you knew they were supposed to be there, i cant get the exact picture but you still get the ticket, you might be able to take it to court and argue the poitn
I really doubt it. They won't let you get away with anything.
If they are visible they are valid. You saw them. You just said.
The fines issued are valid, though you may be able to contest this in court if you bring evidence (i.e. photographs, video recording) of the location where you received the ticket.
It won't hurt to try and argue your case in front of a judge. Make sure you take pictures. Good luck!
i think your ticket is invalid.
Unfortunatley, the ticket will most likely stand. You were probably cited for parking in a prohibited area which is another way of saying parking without permission. A lot of jurisdictions get away with poor signage or road markings by saying "although we didn't say you couldn't park there, we didn't say that you could" and as a result you are parking without authorization.
I would challenge it at the parking ticket office and ask for a supervisory review, but if your request is denied, just pay the fine.
If you can show in court that you had no reasonable way of knowing the local parking restriction that would invalidate the fine. If there are posted signs then you have to pay.
no its valid. 12 feet isnt that much. According to the highway code it is the drivers responsibility to check for park restrictions. If you did see the 12 ft mssing line why did u park . was there any other cars parked alond that part of the road. did they get a ticket?
dfight the ticket in court with a judge and take photos of every angle of the lines and they still can say ignorance of the law is no excuse
The old saying "Tell it to the Judge" applies to you. I would take some good photo's and go to court with my arguement.
Take a picture and plead not guilty and go to court. Be prepared with a large diagram that shows where you were parked and where the unmarked areas were. The Judge will probably dismiss it.
I don't think so.it should be valid.
If you take pictures you may be able to dispute it in court, but no guarantees. Its not automatically made invalid just because the lines arn't visible.
Good Luck!
They shouldn't fine you because you could'nt see the lines and you probally didn't know so you should fight that get a loyer
Go to court. Explain to the Justice that the lines are incomplete and so do not indicate what is truely meant by them. Twelve feet is almost the length of a car (well a decent sized car) so it's a significant gap.
