The only thing ive heard people complain about on the mazda 6 is the firm ride but the pay off for this is sporty handling

Servicing prices can be quite expensive but as its a company car this will not worry you.

The difference between the 4 and 5 doors is the 4 door is a hatchback and the 5 door is a saloon with a boot.
Alternatives are the Ford mondeo,vw passat or honda accord.

test drove one last year, all i can say was it will get you from a to b all the time. i didnt get out and think "what a car" i got out and thought that was nice. its a very good car
4 door is saloon, 5 door is hatct back, there the same lenght and height, but the 5 door would offer more room in the back, good reliable car, my father has had a 626, an in ten years its never give him any trouble,

if you a deciding on a mazda of that size, look and feel. i would edge you to a mazda RX8. a lot more grunt and it has a better wow factor. personaly.
