Why do taxi drivers feel they don't have to acknowledge good manners.?

what I mean is they assume that you are going to give them right of way even when it is not and then fail to thank or acknowledge your action.

because they're obnoxious pigs, just like city bus drivers.

I think you should cut them off every chance you get!
Here in California they're getting robbed and shot all the time- to them there just in a rush to get you from point A to Point B as fast as they can-No manners involved..
We have to be considerate. Day in, and day out, They have to deal with whiny customers and heavy traffic.
