When was my norton built No J122-57531?

Answers:
Norton used year code letters from 1946 to 1960. "A" was 1946,"B"1947 and so on up to "R" for 1960.Your "J" comes out as 1954,but the numbers for 1954 were from 52800 to 59200 so your number of 57531 would fall into this. However the number 122 I can't comment on.Maybe if your living in the U.S.it might be an import number.Contact the Norton owners' club for further info.Good luck.
The same year as my Norton
hmm let me check for you.
Are you sure that is the whole number? I tried to do a carfax report and it said that you were missing 7 numbers. Maybe carfax doesn't work on motorcycles.
Try contacting a local British Bike club, you can find them on the internet. They can definitely tell you. It also should say on your title if you have it..
Sorry I wasn't more help, I tried!
