If you live in the West Midlands try The Policy Shop in Coventry. They do the best deal.

The word cheap car insurance and new driver do not go together.
Just be prepared to sit on the phone allday and ring as many agents and companys as you can. They will ask you whats your best quote allways tell them a lot lower than you been quoted. It always works for me. My turbo diesel has just cost me £155 fully comp
As a learner driver, the cheapest I could find after checking out several companies was Churchill insurance. I've had no problems with them (although I've not had to make any claims - touch wood!).
try Quinn direct they seem to be taking the UK market by storm.they are a company from Dublin and they take named drivers discount as well. that means if you can prove you were a named driver in the last 2 years you will get a 1 years no discount ;)
The cheapist is Tesco
