I need to get a replacement logbook for my car because I've lost the old one. How do I do this?

The car is registered to me and I know the vehicle registration. Is there a charge?

Answers:
You can go to your local DVLA office, fill in a form and they will charge you £15 for a new one OR Complete a V62 which you can download from www.direct.gov.org/motoring and return it to DVLA Swansea SA99 1DD
get a form from the post office i beleave its a v5? they'll tell u anyway
not from me!
Got the form in front of me.my boyfriend has lost his; so is going to have to re-apply.it is a APPLICATION FORM FOR A VEHICLE REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE V5C (The Form number is V62); you can fetch it from your Post Office
Ring DVLC can't remember the number I'm afraid but they were very efficient for me in a similar circumstance - and I didn't have to hang on as a 'valued customer' for too long !!
no there is no charge.just go to were ever you tax the car at and fill in the appropriate form ;)
