What would people recommend for a first car? I earn £100 a week so its got to be cheap to run?

I do get petrol money and I have £1250 to spend bareing in mind I have to get insurance but I will be going on my mum's I think.

Get a diesel hatchback, and if it's 1500 cc or under you'll pay a good deal less road tax.

Seriously, I question if you are ready for a car. Do you really want to spent half or your income on a car? You'll be working for a car!
