Do car drivers really hate scooter riders, or is it just me who feels like that in London traffic?

Cagers do hate scooters because they are a) slow and b) more maneuverable.
Thus, when scooters take advantage of B to avoid a traffic backup and A allows the cars to catch up down the road, the scooter pilot can expect some demonstrations of digital and verbal malediction.
Develop a thick skin and treat the car drivers like what they are: caged frustrated monkeys with 2-tons of iron at their direction.
they hate motorcyclists to. when you lane split to get into open safety or get a good parking spot they hate it. once someone blocked my bike in its parking spot so i took from my tool kit a wrench and broke the window then i stabbed the tire with a pocket knife and rode off. they desreved it
We get the same thing here in the states, except motorcycles are coming on strong
I ride a 600 super sports. all i can say, is cage drivers are morons at the best of times, but unfortunately (and i am not tarring you with this brush) scooter riders can be such a pain in the @rse to other road users in general. They disobey the highway code more than despatch riders and have caused me to swerve on a number of occassions!! So to be honest..its dog eat dog out there, but scooter riders have to take the flack for some of the hassle they get and some times deserve..

I'm sure if people on bikes/scooters obeyed the highway code there would be no problem - but swerving in and out of traffic to get somewhere quicker is just going to annoy everybody, not to mention very dangerous to all - but i'm sure you've never done that or caused someone to brake hard. As a car driver I feel sorry for every biker I see on the floor, but after seeing how alot (not all) act on the road, i'm not always sure that i wasnt their fault. you must realise a car/bus/lorry driver cant see you in their mirrors, so if they turn into you - well - it's your fault - not theirs. Follow the highway code & ride as if your a car. Think how you would act if someone jumped out in front of you - would you be happy?
Just the taxi drivers, the truck drivers, the bus drivers and 90% of the rest of the drivers hate bike riders. Personally, I don't mind pissing them of when I get a chance!

.drive car as well ,not often !do,nt ride scooters , but car / van drivers are fuc#in wan#ers. the police need to enforce the law about mobile phones
