Is a 2004 Ford Focus ghia any good?

im driving a focus ghia at the mo while my car is in the garage, its a really great drive with lots of techology, but as you say it a ford and it has an awful shape.
Personally I don't recomend it. I'm not THAT experienced with cars, but I've worked at Speedy for a year, and I'm taking an automechanics course, so I've worked with alot of them. I have to say Ford is by far the worst auto company when it comes to maintenance and duration. There is very frequently something wrong that happens, and the poor engineering that for some reason ALWAYS shows up on Fords makes it so that it'll cost you more money and it will take twice as long to repair.
The focus has been the best selling car for 2 years now ,our best mate is here and hes a mechanic and has been for years,he says theyre brilliant,and easy to maintain and fix,ford parts are cheap so its reflected in repair prices.
I don't know what celladora is talking about, but my family was a chevy loving group until we started to buy Ford. National testers from across this nation have taken a look at and compared safety and maintenance and Chevy had the worst. The worst frame and safety features. Ford came out on top and the F-150 has made the top ten trucks in the past six years and has left Chevy in the dirt. We had more problems with other vehicles but the Fords, the only reason we had a problem with a Ford was when someone else wrecked into it. I have owned both Chevy and Ford and had a better experience with Ford as far as maintenance and repair is concerned. I go to a school with great engineers and guess what they drive. A Ford Focus, isn't that funny. It seems to be a popular model with college students due to price and dependability. They have a strong frame and are very safe. They have great features and are going strong. Also, the new Ford Fusion is also a great buy. Good luck.

Ghia is the top spec version of all of its Models. The ST is better however the insurance would be very pricey as it is classed as a sports car! If possible try and get a new shape Focus. I believe the 05 plate is the earliest.
YES! Its very good. one of the best handling small hatchbacks. Ghia is also quite a high spec so you should get lots of 'goodies'.
