Get a good book on learning to become a pickpocket and practice your new skills on the other passengers.
buy a PSP, get some music, movies and games you might want an extra battery or two.
you can also get a sudoku puzzle book, but make sure you look up and outside once in a while, would hate for you to miss everything lol

Think of ways to exclude yourselves from the issues of the United Nations. Then stick your nose in the air, a little higher.
France sucks
Take your laptop with you if you have one then you can still do the question and answers on yahoo, or whatever else you like.
Meet new people.Explore the train.Take a nap. Read a good book. Be with yourself.Crosswords are fun. look out of the window and see how many places that you can identify.
Hang out in the lounge car and you are bound to strike up a conversation with someone. It always works for me on Amtrak, at least. Even if you don't feel like talking, the lounge car is usually the best place to hang out.
