I have bought a motorcycle with several faults after being told the bike was very good what rights do i have?
Answers:
depends on the laws in your state, in ct you lose.
Did you get a bill of sale? if yes did it have the words "as is" in it? if no you should be able to get your money back, b/c u got ripped off. but if the bill of sale says as is then you are screwed
In Michigan, as well as many other states, those two (2) little words "as is" is the kiss of ownership. My guess would be that there's nothing you've got coming. SORRY.BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!
private party, your screwed dude!
You can get your money back if you hire Guido to maybe break a kneecap or something.
Sadly, the law generally states, "Let the buyer beware". I once bought a car from a friend, and it had major problems. I consulted an attorney (in CA) and was told simply, "You're out of luck". Wish I could give you better news. Are the faults serious? Easily fixed or not?
sounds like a lesson learned. always check out the bike from front to back. not everybody is honest.
what kind of bike? maybe we can help.
Buyer beware! What kind of bike and what's wrong with it? Some of us may be able to help you out.
