Answers:
There ain't any. Ask your parents and go as a named driver.
My sister got a really good deal through Tesco Value Insurance for her first car. She is a bit older than you though. Most insurers will give you a free quote online so it's well worth shopping around
1-800-thanks-al now this for people who live in tx, and its not fake its really an insurance company, or i think 1800thanksal.com not sure
you can contact the different companies and get their price.
Try Century 21.

I got really cheap insurance through progressive.com..they let you modify your insurance package to make it as expensive or as cheap as possible.
You will need to shop around. I have Progressive and they are pretty reasonable. It also helps if you have had Driver's Ed. Most insurance companies will give you a discount for it.
go to confused.com. They search all the main companies and will give you a list of all the prices to choose from. They are really good. It's worth a try
Try moneysupermarket.com
You having a laugh!? No one will give you a cheap car insurance quote for a 1.8td car @ the age of 18!

I like Geico. You may have a problem with any provider being 17. Try an internet search and get quotes. Good luck
if your a girl tri Diamond

TRY quote line on line
No such thing. You have two things going against you. Age, and your choice of vehicle.
I'm 19 and i have it in my moms name its $35 a month on a jeep 4x4, if it was in my name with my record it would be $140 a month
ask your parents to insure them selves with direct line ins then they can have you as named driver and you both earn no claims discount or better still ask there present ins company to put you on as named driver
You can do some research on the top companies, but the main question is what kind of auto insurance are you looking for?

Are you looking for full coverage? which will cover everything from you hitting another car, motorist, property or someone hitting you.

Hope this was helpful!
shop around on internet. only go 3rd party as excesses and penalties on renewal for fire and theft are not wotrh it on a car worth less than a grand. you will be high risk if you go on parents insurance thats fine but if you have accident then your parents are responsible to make claim so will affect thier no claims so direct lines offer can be a mixed blessing.
Try money supermarket.com loads of choices there, Got friends down from 1K to £500 easy to use gives you a list of prices to choose from. Adrian flux are cheap too.
