I would look at the guy's feedback. If you read some of the discussion boads on there about buying cars, it seems here latly there are lots of scams. So really do your research on the sellers.
Very risky mate.What you can do is email the seller if you could have a look at the car before buying it.Otherwise you'll regret it.

BUYING A CAR SIGHT UNSEEN IS STUPID TO DO,I KNOW I DID JUST THAT,GREAT PICTURES,PAID TO HAVE IT DELIVERED FROM UTAH TO CALIFORNIA, THE TRAN WAS OUT AND THE BODY UNDERNEATH WAS ALL RUSTED OUT.THE CAR FAX IS ONLY GOOD IF ALL MECHANICS REPORTED THE PROBLEMS BUT MOST DON'T.IF THE CAR IS SALVAGE MOST WARRANTY COMPANIES WILL NOT PAY A CLAIM ON THAT CAR, IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT. IF ITS LOCAL GO AND CHECK IT OUT MOST PEOPLE ARE COOL WITH IT AND YOU MIGHT JUST STRIKE A GOOD DEAL.
Cars are usually sold on ebay because the deal is done before you see the car
the pressure is always on to make you jump the gun and buy without seeing the car
at the very least see the car before you bid I would recommend buying from autotrader not ebay

i bought a car off ebay and it was a good deal, and its reliable, check the sellers feedback, if it is 100% positive, then i would trust the seller.
a lot of cars from katrina disaster are fixed and running and clean history. They are spread around US for resale. Good luck. I hope you don't get a car that gives your problems from left to right and head to toes.then it will become a lot more expensive just because of a cheap deal.

I would recommend viewing the car before you bid as there are a lot of dodgy cars on eBay (I speak from experience!) If I bought one again unseen I would refuse to pay and risk negative feedback if the car was not as described when I went to collect,also,don't bother about getting an HPI report unless you actually win the auction as you would be wasting money if you got outbid.
