Which is the safest airlines?

Answers:
Most western airlines enjoy the same high standard of safety. Customer care and courtesy vary though.
They are all pretty safe as they are governed by the Civil Aviation Authority
Southwest Airlines has the best and safest record.
Quantas, the only airline that has never crashed.
The ones where all the seats are taken by armed guards..apart from mine
WITH OSAMA OUT THERE ??? NONE .
Statistically, Qantas is the safest airline in the world ( Australia )
All airlines are pretty much "safe" nowadays. There are a few that I would avoid- mostly from poorer, 3rd-world countries simply because they don't have the resources to regularly perform the necessary safety checks that most airlines do.
groundlines.
they never take off.

and there cheap.
good luck.
always get a seat by the window so you can see where youre going.
take a book on disasters.hold it high it will get a good reaction from other passengers.
they are all safe when on the ground
Go for Air France, apart from concorde (and that wasn't their fault) pretty squeeky clean. Avoid anything African or South American (and the Rusky's are a definite no no)
peter pan airways
one that doesn't crash!
Most airlines are pretty safe. You might want to avoid the airlines operated by 3rd world countries. They tend to have older aged aircraft and their pilots are less skilled at flying. The maintenance on those aircraft are a bit questionable also. But the major/largest airlines in the world are very safe.
The worlds safest/best are :

1. British Airways
2, Virgin Atlantic
3. Quantas
4. Singapore
5. Malaysian
6. Air Jamaica
7. Cathay Pacific
8. Tag Angola
9. Lufthansa
10.Ethiopian
most US and european full service ones
the unsafest are Aeorflot (Russian Airlines since 1953 127 crashes with 6,875 fatalities) and American Airlines (yep, they have had a lot of problems with planes and such, but I liked flying with them, they are pretty good)
Air Zimbabwe & Qantas 100% record
