Why buy a Hardley Movingson?
Especially when there is the "EPIC" Triumph Rocket III on offer.
Answers:
I think the majority of people who buy them do so because they're joiners. Or you could say they're buying the whole package, not just a bike. They're buying into acceptance, hog groups, etc. Oh, and the persona. (Note how polite and restrained I sound..)
That's not my thing though. If a girl can "sport wood," I did the first time I saw the R3. It's almost as beautiful as the Rune! It's #2 on my bikes-to-buy list should I ever win the lottery.
Depends what you want from a bike. if you want it to be slow, noisy, shiny and difficult to manoeuvre, buy a Harley.
BTW - has anybody ever seen anybody under 45 riding one?
I know lots of people like me (under 45) and riding the best motorcycles ever made.HARLEY DAVIDSON. Where I live most people that ride have Harleys.those that don't just say that they are saving up for them and riding rice in the mean time.
I didn't buy my bike to join HOG or any other group.I usually ride alone anyhow.
I bought it because I needed good (fun and easier on gas than my v-8 truck) transportation to commute to work. That was over 5 years ago (had a sportster back then).and been riding my new Heritage to work as much as I can.on average 4 days a week.sometimes I have to haul stuff in my truck and can't ride.but most of the time I do.
I ride Harleys, And Hondas, And yamahas, Hell I ride anything with wheels. I currently have a Honda and a Harley and people that think the are cumbersome and antiquated are either not much of a biker or just looking for something to B**** about. The biggest selling point for me on Harley Davidson is the fact that its American made.
Last year my Harley was down for repairs for a total of four hours (oil changes, tuneups). My Honda on the other hand was down for several weeks (blown stator, electrical shorts, oil changes, tuneups).
As for the one that ask if anyone one has ever seen a Harley rider under that age of 45. I can say yes I have I have been riding Harleys since the age of 23 and I am still not 45. I have had and do have friends in their 20's and 30's who ride harleys. The reason that you see the harley rides in the 40's and up is because when they were younger most of their money went to raising kids.
I bought a Harley Davidson, new, in 1994, have 75000 miles on it, and have only changed the oil, and plugs, and have never had a problem with it. Its an 883 cc. And, they are an American Icon
