Anyone have helpful information on a problem starting my renault clio?
Answers:
You probably have two keys, try them both, I understand that the immobiliser forgets the code.
The curious thing is that after a number of tries that the carstarts and this suggests that it may be as simple as a new battery is needed and the warmth from your fingers is giving enough power to the battery to work the immobilser, try a new battery first.
If you dont know how to open the key to get the battery out email me
If you say the car starts after a dozen attempts, I'm going to take an informed guess from that one bit of information. Most Clio immobiliser problems are of the "it starts or it just will not start at all" type.
I'm going to suggest yours is a roughly 94-97 model with a sunroof and the fault is with the receiver unit inside the roof. £60 odd. But there's no point in just changing bits at random. Get a Renault garage to check it out.
your key needs to be re-programmed by dealership mate.x
if you are not from middle east, it will not cost much.
