Answers:
The Spitfire scrambler was an export only 646cc twin(one of the A10 series engines.) Available in the States from 1958 to 1963. It came with high twin pipes (down the left side), knobbies, solo seat and no road gear.

The Thunderbolt Rocket was a 1964 sports twin in U.S. delivery (High bars). The A65T/R, 654cc twin. Iy had full road gear twin seat etc.

Hope this sets ya straight.
The Thunderbolt was an A65 unit construction engined fast road bike (engine and gearbox in one unit).
The Spitfire was an A10 pre-unit construction engined "street scrambler" built for the US market (Seperate gear box and engine units).
Both were named after WWII fighter aircraft.
