I want to buy a Renault Clio??

I've had my Clio for 6½ years now and it's fab. It's just over 10 years old, but is incredibly reliable (hope I'm not tempting fate!). This summer was the first time I'd had to pay significant amounts of money for repairs as opposed to servicing and that was for the timing belt and the fanbelt, which could go any time.
Anyway, it's cheap to run and reliable, I don't think you can get much better.
apologies if this doesnt help but if your thinking of buying new try .lloydstsb car select you get good prices for new and you dont have to be lloyds tsb customer .

It is a car that falls in the classification known as Sport Compacts and as far as we are concerned, it is “The Sportiest of Compacts”. The Renault Clio V6.
Why ever for ?
I have done 90000 trouble free miles in the old shape clio and love it, never a problem, its worth buying the diesel over the petrol too. The new model is meant to be even better than the old one. I really like the Clio and thing they are much under rated as a smallish car thats nice to drive and gives good value for money.
We're on our third Clio now. We've had a 03 1.5DCi Dynamique which was excellent and then we got a 05 182 which was awesome, but thirsty.
We now have a new shape 06 reg 1.5DCi Dynamique S. It is MUCH bigger than the older Clio, and much better. The older one tended to rattle and squeak a lot, whereas the new one has much better build quality. We bought the 86 BHP version which gives better fuel economy that all the others, and only costs £50 a year to tax!
It may only have 86 BHP but it is VERY nippy around town and can handle itself admirably on the open road.
My only grumble about it is the position of the door handles. They are not easy to reach and there's nothing to grab onto when the wife decides to boot it going round a left hander.
This may have been fixed by Renault though, as my Dad has one as well and his door handles are different.
I wouldn't think twice about buying one again. In fact we have often said that if we could afford it, then we'd get another.
My daughter had two and loved them both !
