I try not to think about scooters, they're all crap. There are lots of cheap Chinese ones flooding the market, but you need to think about after-sales support, parts, warranty issues and things like that. Stick to well-known, established European and Japanese brands. They may cost more, but it's a price worth paying.
I ride one, If you have hills or even slight slopes where you live forget it. I have to put my feet out either side and push to get it up hill
