I bought a used Peugeot 206 a few months ago and the salesman said?

"If you need to ask anything, do". I emailed just once to ask something a few days after I bought it and I've just emailed him a week ago (now a few months after I've bought it), asking him what winter checks I should be making with my car, and he hasn't answered. Is he sick of hearing from me?

Answers:
The salesman is just a salesman - probably doesn't know or care. Winter checks are Lighting, Tyres, Antifreeze, Wash Wipe, Battery & belts.
Checks you can do,
Lights,
you can check your brakelights in the dark whilst stuck in traffic (they'll light up the car behind you)
Tyres,
Tread depth across whole of surface should be even and at least 3mm deep for winter, tyre pressure is normally 32psi front 34psi rear (don't forget the spare !!) also look for cracks and bulges in the side walls.
Wash wipe,
Check the rubber blades are not splitting along the wipers(front & rear) regularly fill the screenwash bottle and look to see where the washers are squirting on the windscreen, should be about 1/3rd way up when car is still - adjust with a needle down the nozzles if needed.
Battery,
Some have a health indicator (glass circle Green/Black inside)
If it's Green it usually means that the battery is ok.
If you hav'nt got this you can check the electrolyte levels by unscrewing the caps with a 2p piece make sure to use distilled water (Any car spares place) to top it up if needed. To test condition any garage might check for free.
Antifreeze,
You need a tester for this - but if it looks manky, it is best to change it as it is not very expensive and easy to do.
Belt(s)
Alternator belt,
Shine a torch on the inside of the belt looking for cracks and missing chunks - change the belt if you see any.

Hope you can follow this. Good luck.
yes, he has had his commision and in my opinion sold you a bad car!
No he's not sick of hearing from you. He just wont remember you and doesnt care about you now. Once he has made a sale, thats it. He moves onto the next sale.

Thats what most salesmen are like.

(btw, I emphasise the "most" bit.
Is There A Question Bout the Car That You Need Some Help From Us??

Give Us Details On The Problem Maybe We Can Help??
no he sold you the car the rest is not his problem so just deal with it he will not answer you go to a auto shop and ask there or read a book on how do i keep my car in check.
You should be emailing the service department, that's what he's thinking
Once they have your cash, they could not give a flying f**k about you, people will promise you the earth until they get your money, and then as far as they are concerned you can eat earth.
this is usual for a car sales man he is not interested
he proberbly dont care is he has his comision now.
but winter checks are water levels
brake levels
oil level
antifreeze content
but get to a mechanic or a cheap garage to check this if your not sure
