Hey, I sold my FZR400RR 2 months ago for £850 in London. It was in excellent condition and had a good history. It had 12 months MOT and Tax. I wanted a quick sale and dropped the price though, from £1000.

You could probably get more outside of London, as there isn't the choice and a sports bike will appeal to younger, more ignorant buyers. Try advertising with MCN and Autotrader. Also, EBay is a great place for bikes of this age.

I sold a mint condition FZR400SP 3TJ about 8 months ago (seriously mint condition 10k on the clock, totally original G reg which i think is 89-90) and got the full asking price of 1500quid no haggling. Think i could have got a lot more. But as I said it was a SP version in mint cond, i had offers from people who didnt know it was the SP version for around 800-1000 quid so aim in there I think.
