Did you pass your driving test first time ?

It took me 4 attempts

Answers:
Yes. Study the book and take a behind the wheel class.
No the 2nd. The first one was on my 21st Birthday and the examiner who failed me was called Mr Slaughter!
Yep and I was downside up in a ditch 6 days later.
It doesn't make you a better driver if you did.
I did it first time, but I thought I'd blown it with nerves, I've never been so scared about anything like I was on my test
YEAH, FIRST TIME, IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH PRACTICE YOU HAVE HAD DRIVING, AND IF YOU ARE THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO GETS NERVOUS OR NOT.
yea, passed 1st time, had a row with the tester half way thru about my speed (was dead on 30), and i smacked my head against office door as we were going to the car (trying to hold door open for tester.lol), so think she felt sorry for me. lol
yes ! 1 minor fault ;¬)
wohhooo
and don't believe people who say passing 2nd times makes you better driver, they're just jealous hehehe

i once new someone who failed 5 times with dangerous faults the examiner got out out on two occasions and walked back to the test center.
I passed third time lucky
DAM YOU ARE DUMB!
1st time for me. Although I nearly buggered up the hill start. Passed my bike test first time too, after being given the benefit of the doubt during emergency stop (road was wet). Got lucky both times
i havent sat mine yet keep saying i will but not plucked up the courage as yet.
Absolutely. In both countries, though the UK test is about ten times harder than the US test.

Second time for the bike test though, he failed me for excessive reliance on the foot brake, though the trainers made an official protest that as my only error it should just have been a warning. Aced it the second time. Over her the bike test is a written followed by a low speed control test in the parking lot, in the UK it's 50 minutes on the road with an examiner watching you like a hawk. But road conditions here are dangerous for bikes so I don't ride any more.
No, I passed second time and the major reason I failed was nerves!! I have never ever been so scared and nervous in my whole entire life. Three weeks have lapsed since I passed and I'm still over the moon!!
It took me 2 attempts..One when I was 18 and once in July just gone . I am now 36 and had held a provisional licence for 19 years. The first fail put me off driving for 19 years as I ballsed up going round several roundabouts ! Finally My wife made me do my test again in July and passed with only 4 minors ! Watch out you other motorists.
2nd attempt
I passed on my third try only cuz the guy felt sorry for me and gave the one point to me even though it was the wrong answer. My son is still trying to get his permitt since he flunked the test the first time. He just doesn't study and expects to pass with his good looks.
Sweated like a pig and shook like a leaf for the entire test, but yep passed first time and - touch wood - have never had an accident that's been my fault to date.

But I still maintain that you can teach a monkey to manouver a car but learning to actually drive is another thing and you don't just drive for yourself, you drive for every other idiot on the road.
Second time. I started crying because my mind went blank when the examiner asked me some simple questions at the end. I pulled a paper hanky out to dry my eyes that had red biro over it and my face got covered in red ink. He passed me out of pity and came round to my house to visit me the following week to see if I'd recovered from the nose bleed. He said that he shouldn't really have passed me.
No, and I think it made me a better driver - it stopped me getting cocky. Passed second time. Mind you, a van in front of me at a junction had to stop suddenly when a car shot past in front of him, and I stalled my car. At that point, I reckoned I'd blown it again and just concentrated on getting it all over with. However, when I mentioned this to the examiner when he - to my total surprise - passed me, he told me that I had recovered from the stall perfectly, relaxed noticably for some reason and actually drove much better from that point on!
I passed first go, and it was down to me being a great driver, because I sure as hell aint the lucky type.
No it took me 3, I am not sorry for that, as although I had to take more EXPENSIVE LESSONS I feel a much safer driver .I passed my test at the ripe old age of 57 & I am very proud to be on the road.
First time.
Passed first time and had an examiner examining my examiner, so 2 examiners in total and still passed first time!
It's all about confidence on the road
Yes - much to my older brother's disapproval (2nd time for him).

Had only driven 29 times in total when I had passed!

But I can't swim LOL
yes i passed 1st time got 100% in my theory test and two minors in my practical test
No the second. Would have passed first time if only I didn't pull out if front of a 26ton truck!! Although I wasn't ready first time, and didn't realise that til now.
I passed on my first attempt with no markups on my score. It was raining too. The key is patience and concentration.
yup. 3 times

Car test.
Hgv 3 test. as it was then.. Cat C now
Motorbike test.

Failed my HGV 1st time, nailed it at the 2nd attempt
Yes
My daughter has just passed her test at the first go.
Since she passed I have had to (at her request) teach her how to park in a car park, use a petrol pump and change a tyre.
Now she wants me to go with her on her first motorway journey!
I think that the driving test is just the start of learning to drive.
Car test 1st time, bike test 2nd.
