When accompanied by an adult,up to the age of five children travel free.6yrs-14yrs children travel for half fare.15yrs and over full adult fare Unless such adults hold a concession card.IE a student card, pension card etc etc
Kids are free until 5 years of ag and then they pay a child fare - which seem sto work out at about a third of the adult price
On National Rail children aged 5-15 must pay a child fare.
This is usually, but not invariably, half the adult fare.
Under 5 years of age is free
Over 15 years of age is adult fare.
Remember there are various
railcard offers.
The question is very topical as a new scheme has been announced to apply from 2 January 2007.
