Was he doing wrong?

Last week I was driving down a one way street and saw a twentysomething riding a pushbike along the pavement in the wrong direction whilst eating a sandwich and using a mobile phone

Answers:
yep.you should have ran the twat over!
Riding the bicycle on the pavement is an offence.

Cyclists may lawfully ride in the opposite direction to motor cars on some one-way streets, it depends on the local traffic bye-laws.

Eating a sandwich or using a mobile phone while cycling are not an offence in themselves.
hahahhahaaaahahaa.jeez, im in a giddy mood, must be these corona. I would've got out n smacked him, he cant do anything cos he was breakin the law.
Why didn't you call the police? You may be able to claim a community action award.
Blimey one way pavements .
Thats just crazy.
No bikes have more priority on the roads than cars
well pathways are two way, but i think you can get a slap on the wrist from a copper for riding on the path. as for the mobile and sandwich maybe he's a stunt rider.
the only wrong is cyclin on the pavement but if it was in a local non-congested area then its grand!
that is SO wrong - twentysomething and riding a bike!!?? Why wasn't he driving a car like most other twentysomethings??!!
Yes!
I once saw a guy wearing pink spandex riding his bike down the highway with a cellphone in one hand and his hand sticking out with the other, doing a sort of limp thing.
