I am new to the Allstar petrol system. Why do the petrol attendants ask for my mileage?

Giving your mileage is not compulsory but it does allow your company to keep a track on fuel usage and the timing of your vehicles services.
So their invoices can show how much fuel is being used against the mileage, allowing your company accounts department to keep track of things.

Hi its so that they can let your fleet manger work out the MPG for your vehicle, Other answers quite rightly state you dont have to give it.
Do you pay for your private mileage or are you taxed on fuel as a benefit?
