No insurance & had accident, my fault,go to court, paid 200 for damage but now get other invoice, need to pay?
just want to buy something about 5 mins journey so borrow my fd car, i have no insurance and hit a car when returned, called the police and later to the court, took out 6 points and 350 fine(150 for no insurance and 200 for the other car damage), but now i got an invoice from the driver insurance company and want me to pay 500, but i already pay 200 for the damage so do i need to pay these 500? IF NO INSURANCE, DUN DRIVE!

$700 worth of damage is not a lot these days. You are lucky that the cost is not a lot worse. You have to pay for the damage you caused. It is a hard lesson to learn, but you are lucky that it is not a lot worse!!
Unfortunately you were st fault so you are ultimately responsible for the repairs. Unless the case was settled in court, and the other party agreed to the $200 for the damages then you will probably need to pay. Take your own advice, and don't drive again until you have your own car and insurance!
If you drove a car without insurance you deserve everything you get fool.
Well, you're right, one shouldn't drive if they don't have insurance. You should have checked what you had to pay for and if that 500$ was mandatory. There has to be a reason why, and a legal one at that. You should know what you're paying for and what's happening with your case.
If you don't have insurance - DON'T DRIVE! Someone like you drove into the back of me recently, I've had to pay £400 excess damage to get my car repaired when it wasn't my fault. I pay my car insurance, why should I lose so much money because people like you deliberately break the law. It's so unfair.
the insurance company has every right to reclaim any expences incured by them sorry but thats how it is
if you were insured they claim it off you insurance
why do you do it ?don`t you realise you could ruin someones new car and not pay a penny, this happened to my son ,some scum bag hit him and his girlfriend in the car ,it spun round and could have killed them ,they were on their way to a party to get engaged ,the bloke ran off ,don`t you realise or perhaps you do ,that we who pay our insurance are penalised for people like you ,you could have killed someone ,
Was there insurance on the vehicle you were driving? Insurance follows the vehicle, NOT the driver! If the vehicle was insured, you were NOT driving uninsured!
Basically, if you caused the accident and were not insured, you need to pay up. Get a waiver and release of liability from the other party before settling!
Bostonian, this is not the case in the UK, the insurance follows the driver not the car, so if he was not listed as a named driver on the insurance policy then he was driving uninsured.
too right you do its lucky its not more its people like you that keep our insurance premiums sky high your lucky ur not a banned driver and in future stay off the roads
YOU TOOK THE CHANCE AND IT DID NOT PAY OFF YOUR FAULT YOU PAY SORRY!
you should be locked up pr!"
the court compensation of £200 covers owner/keeper of the car you hit. if they claimed damage on their car through insurance then the company can chase you for total costs. and thet will do it till they get their money back. best way is to arrange re-payment program with them and stop the baliffs calling which would add more costs to your bill.
