Should the Congestion Charge apply to those who are forced to take their vehicles into the Zone?
Answers:
First of all, who would decide that you genuinly need to go into the zone?
you would have so many people claiming that they need to for such a such a reason or they have to take the car to work today as they are doing such a such for the business therfore making it business related.
i do agree with reducing the charge for registered companies like couriers and workmen.
saying that, do they not get a reduced rate?
do you know for a fact that they are charged the same as everyone else?
i dont agree with charging people to be able to drive through the city we live in and already pay taxes for but it has reduced the traffic in the area and outside the city.
maybe they should do even more in the way of public transport, may encourage more people to use it if it was reliable, who knows even the couriers with small packets might hop on a train if they knew it would be cheaper and they wouldn't have to wait an age.
just another ken livingston money racket mate
It's so as Livingstone can be guaranteed an income and therefore encourage the rest of the little hitlers to fleece the motorist.. GREED MATE.
" We were told " ?
Believe est not sire.
We were told - by who & when and did we get it in writing !
Buy a cheap car, register with false details.
No congestion charge, no speeding tickets, no parking fines.
The quickest and easiest way to make money for government and councils is to pick on the motorist it doesn't matter whether your moving or parked. The congestion charge is just another example of this.
