Speed ticket help.?
Answers:
# 1 plead not guilty!!!!! , when you get to the court , the cop that pulled you over will pull you aside prior to you facing the judge and make an agreement with you - for you to plead to a lesser charge , take the agreement, and pay your fine ..of course this also depends on how your behavior was when you got the ticket and if you have a history of speeding tickets.but either way its always best to plead not guilty! .good luck!
I take it there's no way of saying you were overtaking? That has gotten a friend of mine out of one.
Do speed and you won't get a ticket!
If you're in a 40mph zone, don't do 57. You prick
guess u'll just have to accept the truth
pay it and never get one again
it will save you alot of $ if u dont speed
The best way to avoid a ticket is to comply with the road signs
pay up I am afraid.
Claim that at the time you was traumatised by something, you will need a doctors note to back you up though.
Learn by your mistake and in future don't speed.
Visit and have a good look round this website.
Also get down the newsagent and buy the current MCN, (Motorcycle News) dated 30th August, before the new one's out on wednesday. There's an excellent article in there.
you can try .. by going to the court.
but it in the case of a camera, there usually no way of disputing it.
Get a traffic ticket lawyer..
well I dont think there is any way- the only thing you can do is appeal and it gives you and extra 28 days or summit to get back to them- just explaing your case for example if the road you were on is normally national speed limit (60) then fair do's if you didn't see the signs or roadworks- on the other hand if it is always 40 mph you have no chance- sorry
got to learn to stop speeding.

A419 . Oxfordshire/Swindon area - nothing you can do! If it was signed that the speed limit was 40mph & you were doing 57mph & you got caught, that's the end of it.
If it was a front facing camera from a mobile unit, you could't even get some one to take the points for you as they could check the picture.
It depends on what state you are in and what the law is. Some states have it that if it is your 1st speeding ticket and it is below 9mph under the stated speed then this will not affect your points. If that be the case in your state then get an attorney who knows what to do and get it reduced or he can ask for a prayer for judgement which means that if you do not get another ticket within a certain amount of time then this ticket would not be on your record. Just remember to slow down you will get there just as quick and you want have to worry about going to court because of a ticket.
Forget about it!
Pay the fine!
If you drive at or below the speed limit I imagine you will not get a speeding ticket!
unfortunatly there is no escape unless you can make an excuse like son needed a toilet badly and you were trying to tell him you would try and find one very quickly because he was in so much distress and you were trying to calm him down and you did not mean to speed but you will have to write to the people who issue these tickets and plead your case it does,nt hurt to tell a white lie as long as you don,t make a habit of it otherwise they will get wise to your tricks good luck
Whoops!
I got done speeding recently in a roadworks situation - I was doing 60 in a 40 zone on the A428 - and really, unless you can plead that you genuinely did not know that it had been temporarily lowered, you are going to struggle to make a case for it.
Having said that, in some areas, they allow you to do a speed course, which takes the points away on completion. This may well be only for first time offenders though. Also, it isn't available in all areas of the country.. it wasn't in mine!
Ok, three options.
1) Drive REALLY fast, I mean REALLY fast, so that the speed camera won't be able to recognise you're number plate.
2) Drive 20 mph in a 40 mph zone, just to be on the safe side.
3) Take a drive with your grandparents, see how slow they go!
The only thing you can do is get someone else to take the points for you - say it was another member of your family driving. Tough luck though mate - I'm having to slow right down these days having had the same problem :-(
Have you had the Notice of Intended Prosecution yet?
Is it your own car?
Once I know this might be able to help you!!
There ares plenty of plug in speed camera detector devices on the market.
Some people havent been very nice to you about speeding but I sympathise!! Think I got caught last week and its my 2nd now! I hate speed cameras!! I dont know how good any of these ideas are but I know at least one person for each of the option who has got away with it!
1) When the fine comes ignore the first letter - they will re - write insisting on money if they dont hear back from you but there will be no extra fine or points for it- I know five people who have done this and never heard from them again.
2)Ask for a photo - They have to send you a photo and then if there is any problem identifying you or the full veh registration marker then you can write of querying it! 9/10 times they drop it then.
3)write off explaining a valid reason why you were speeding!! this probably involves making up a story but alot of the time they dont check up on it or query it!!
Obvously none of these options work all of the time!!Ive always been to scared to try any, but like I said I know loads of people who have. The first two are probably the best. The photo one is great if the weather was bad /raining/dark/alot of traffic. because even if one digit/letter of the vrm is blurry they cannot insist its you!
Good luck!! hope you get away with it!but do what i'm trying to do now and learn not to speed!:-)..it's a hell of alot easier!
If it was a gatso, old style, 2 flashes from the back!,refer to the case/ crown v hamilton, you know the hamiltons who both drive but could not remember who was driving"at the time" got them off, if you can find the date it happened to them and produce that with the same "excuse"I cant see how you can be done, after all, they are only minor celebrities,no pictures, no proof dude, good luck! ps dont condone speeding myself.gotta radar detector!!
Hi,
You have to sign a declaration to say who was driving, make up a name and address of a driver send it off and you will not here anything else. You have done your part of the declaration. Works every time.
Good luck.
fight it,, ask when the camera was last calibrated and what procedure was used to calibrate the camera, they are all crooked and you will win
well speaking as a professional driver of 32 years experience..there is no excuse..you were caught pay the fine get the points..and live with it..and be more attentive next time..just because you were caught in a temporary restriction is no excuse you must have seen the warning signs saying you were approaching a 40mph zone AND the speed camera sign too,so how inattentive were you? and why? chatting on the old mobile..even hands free diverts your attention,or were you reading a map or paper or papers from work? you could have been eating a sarnie..no matter what you were caught ..no excuse is acceptable..you weren't in an emergency vehicle on an emergency were you? if you had paid more attention..you wouldn't be facing a fine and 3 Pt's on your licence would you? there is a rule of thumb.i used to use for speeding.1% above the limit is acceptable IE 40mph+1%=44mph..anything above that is a definite speeding offence
pay up, they have got you, probably for 6 points with that difference.
Why do you think you should get away with it ?
Everyone will say they were "inadvertent speeding" it is on page 6 of the "Police Guide to Stupid Excuses"
Date the judge. I haven't had a ticket found guilty yet. (Try for a single judge.)
