Why does the traffic always slow at clacket lane on m25?

it's all because of the lorries they have to stop every 4 hours for a break. as clacket lane is on the m25 on the routes to all of the London airports. there are lots of lorries. there not many servas area on the m25. so around all the areas on the m25 it's all most all ways likely to be qued up.

I have no idea what a clacket lane is, but here's what I'll offer anyway.
Where there's a lot of traffic, not necessarily bumper to bumper either, there's a thing called a "Phantom Traffic Jam". It can happen in moderate traffic as well as heavy traffic. It's when a cluster of drivers are going along and one of the leaders hits the brakes, causing others to brake, and like a domino effect, everyone behind them brakes.
While they're slowing down, traffic behind them, a second cluster, is still moving at normal speed and catches up with them and then they have to brake and slow down and a second domino effect takes place.
This can go on for hours at a time without any real traffic jam ever happening.
