Shite!
I assume you mean Norbury SW16?
I was born and bred there - I lived in Norbury for 23 years. There is a mainline train station where you can get a train into London (Victoria or London Bridge) .takes about 25 minutes. There is a good bus service which will also take you into London but willl take eons. Croydon is a short bus or train journey away if you want a big shopping centre/ cinema/ pubs and clubs etc.

INorbury is an ok area as South London goes and at least has quite a few parks and open spaces. There is a big selection of small shops as well as restaurants, banks etc on the main road so its pretty much the same as most towns in that respect. If you want any more specific info, feel free to get in touch..I know the area like the back of my hand.

Its probably also worth looking at http://www.upmystreet.com
if you haven't already :)
