Hey Nati, its not a competition. You do your own thing and go at your pace.

Don't start comparing yourself.

Sounds to me like your doing alright, just relax.

I worked on cars since I was 12 so knew then inside out when I was 17, is it right i tell you have many hours it took me ? the comparison wouldn't be valuable.
only 2
absolutely none. took my test as soon as i was seventeen. failed tho
i took 16 1 hour lessons
Hi they say 1 for every year of your life .but it didnt work like that for me.I think the hardest part is to get over the nerves you get when sitting a driving test. Good luckl
none, my dad just gave me the keys to his truck when i was fourteen, then two weeks a go at my 16 bday, we went to the dmv and took one driving test, i got a near perfect score and
then i went cruisin and picked up some ladies
You should relax your too tense and nervous about failing. Think what calms you down? I like the radio or talking to someone calms my nerves especially on the highway.
you don't need to rush. It took me 4 years to pass my test, and about 200 lessons at least, lol
Don't worry about it! It's perfectly normal to feel out of control when you're learning how to drive. I was taking driving lessons for over a year, before I felt ready to take the final test. But I was so nervous, I failed! Then I decided that I would listen to my teacher. I let him decide whether or not I was ready to take the final test. And once he said that he believed I could do it, I tried and succeeded! So please, listen to your driving teacher and when he says you are ready, you probably are! Good luck!
I had 20.

You need to find an instructor you are at ease with. My first two were useless because they were not friendly, and put me on edge. The third one was great, and we got on really well.
only 1 for me because wheni was youger my mom let me drive around the block when i was about 12 or 13.
as many as you feel you need. i failed my first test because i did 38 through school zone. it was a country cop who was testing me, and he had the gaul to try to fine me for it as well. so remember to keep a watch out for signs.
I took some lessons from dad and passed easily. But then again, that was back before the traffice we have now!
I had driving lessons twice a week for 3 months and at the same time, my uncle took me out driving in my ford fiesta, going up to London and going on the M25!! Passed first time 4 months later in the same year!

The more practice you have, the better.

Good luck!
You don't have to feel silly or stupid for that, you'll have to take the lessons you need, just remeber is an activity that involves your safety and others' The more hrs you spent on that the more you will be prepared. Cheer up doll and make the most of it.
It's down to you and your instructor - I had 9 - 2 hour lessons over two months and passed first time but i had a ton of hours out on the roads around industrial estates on the two weekends when quiet with my dad. I practised so much with going up and down the gears around the industrial estates speed bumps that i got a blister on my palm but it worked!!!! It became second nature after a while and i could then concentrate on other things. Plus my instructor had me driving at 60 mph on a dual carriageway within 30 minutes of getting into the car for the first time - it made me get over the fear straight away! 30mph seemed slow after that shock. Good luck and practise!
A rule is your age plus the years of education above 16 plus 5 lessons.
Idea is that the older you are, the more difficult it is. And the more you are educated, the more difficult it is to follow the instructions without questioning them. But many 18 year old's use 18 lessons.
But I think it took too much lessons to enter a busy road. Half would have been enough. Your problem may be your insecurity. The instructor should be more comforting I think.
Good Luck!
About 12. I went round Hammersmith Broadway on my first lesson and Hyde Park Corner (no traffic lights then) on the second. After that mostly in west end rush hour. After that my driving test somewhere miles out in Middlesex with hardly any traffic was a doddle.
You just need some practice time, do you have a friend that go go out with you? start out in areas with less traffic first and then move in to the real traffic. :)
I needed loads! I was really nervous, and had over a year of lessons before I started to feel comfortable with the car, but when I eventually took my test, I passed first time. Don't worry if you're nervous-if you think, you've only had 10 hours of driving lessons, which isn't a lot at all. Just take your time, relax, and you'll start to get the feel of the car, and you'll gradually become more confident. Some lucky people seem to pick up driving straight away, but for the rest of us, it takes a little longer! Don't worry about it though-you'll get there! Good luck!
hi i had 6, 2 hour lessons but have you considered that the problem may be with your instructor. remember they are payed by the hour and its not in their interest to pass you. even if your nervous they should have pushed you as its the only way to learn
Can't remember but I know that I took my test three times before I passed. I learned to drive in the country and had to take my test in a Town so it was very different, especially as the local bus conductor (we had them in those days!) taught me to drive.
