I'm from London and want to see a game at Old Trafford. How'd I get there by train?
Answers:
You can get cheap train fares if you book in advance.Get one that takes you to Manchester Piccadilly and then get the Metro from Piccadilly to Old Traffod and then just follow the crowds!!
I went to an evening game and got home at midnight and I live in Manchester. I would strongly suggest an overnight stay. Manchester is great for clubs.
Try manchesteronline.co.uk for all local info.
I can't help you out with ideas for accommodation but it would be worth your while to check out the cost of flying up there. BA and others often do good rates for internal flights and it is very much quicker than taking the train.
I would advise you to book into a Travel Logde overnight, the prices can be quite reasonable. There's one in the City Centre of Manchester which isn't a million miles away from the train station for your journey home :o)
To get to the stadium get the train to picadilly train station manchester then get the metro link from within the station to just outside the stadium.
I`d suggest travelling to Manchester first LOL.
