Oyster Pre Pay anyone?

How many of Pre-pay users see 'unresolved journeys' on their card? This means when you haven't touched in or touched out at a station. From November it will automatically charge you £4 if you don't touch in or touch out.
Make sure you see the green light on the reader when you put your Oyster on it.
Just wanted to know if anyone actually had heard about this yet?

Answers:
thanks for the heads up- no hadnt heard of this - will watch out tho!
Thanks.. I hadnt heard that either..but london transport are out to make money..Im not surprised they kept it quiet,
I've been told at the kiosk that I have an uncompleted journey. Up until now i've just shrugged my shoulders and they've wiped it off. Definately something I will look for in future as i've had times where the gates are knackered or it's so early they haven't been activated yet.
Yeh i saw that notice in Stratford Station on Monday. They had an Oyster Stall with this information. My thing is.does this affect a monthly charged Oyster card? Cause haven't i paid it all already, so what diff will it make? Is there another rule that applies to this?
hmmmmmmm
You are correct, from 19th of November 2006 the pre pay fare will be set to the maximum fare, £4 deducted at the start of the journey (when you touch in) and calculated and amended when you finish your journey (dependent on you touching out). So for example you start your journey at oxford circus and touch in, you are charged £4, travel to Marble Arch when you touch out £2.50 is put back on your oyster, meaning you will be charged £1.50. Failure to touch out will mean next time you have to travel, your previous journey will have to be resolved at a cost of £4 before your oyster will work again. If you have a weekly, monthly or period oystercard as long as your unresolved journey is covered by your zones eg 1-2, you will not be charged for resolving your journey. you should start to see & hear more about this over the coming weeks. Hope this is not too confusing!!
