Answers:
My AA road atlas of Great Britain says it's approx. 355 mile journey, so the time depends on how fast your daughter's travelling, plus any stoppage time; about 4 hours I'd say.
i am not in scotland
About 3 and a half to 4 hours without delays

I'm a crazy American in Texas and I frankly don't have the foggiest idea of how to help you.
another 3 hrs atleast to reach scotland, and then its a good drive to st andrews about 2 hrs or 3 hrs again after the border.
Could take another 3 to 5 hours depending on traffic, weather, and how many stops they make along the way. The drive from Manchester to Scotland is georgeous. We did it 3 years ago. The scenery is awesome. We of course weren't in any hurry and it took us 6 hours. But we made SEVERAL stops to take pictures along the way!
Hope your daughter makes it safely!
The AA website indicates it should take 5 hours. Obviously it may differ depending on traffic conditions.

I would say that if she is able to phone you to tell you that she is delayed in traffic then you should have nothing to worry about.
Get on the M1 and go north! Join the A7 somewhere which will take you to Edinburgh. Get out of the cities and stay on the motorways!
According to Google Maps, it's 287 miles and about 6-1/2 hours from Manchester to St. Andres. With delays due to traffic, I'd suggest you not start worrying unless they don't get there by midnight your time.

It sounds like your daughter is a sensible, careful person. Hey, she called to let her loving Mum no she was delayed, didn't she? Trust her.
About four hours. But it's rush hour and she may also want to stop for food etc. So maybe five. I think traffic will be heavy around the Lake District, so maybe even six! Under normal circumstances, form Manchester, 3.5 - 4 hours. Don't worry!
THATS THE TROUBLE WITH MOST OF THE YOUNGER DRIVERS NOWADAYS , THEY CANT EVEN READ A MAP ,WHAT YOU WORRIED ABOUT IS SHE IN USEING YOUR CAR . ?
Route planner says about 5 hours and 260+ miles
add some stop time and the traffic 1hr
M6 will clear at about junction 26-29 depending on times she gets there
She should arrive just in time for last orders at the bar :)
I used to travel between Dundee (near St. Andrews) and South Wales alot, going via Glasgow. It is a minimum of 4 hours from Manchester to St. Andrews, on a good day. However, bearing in mind that its summer and its Friday evening, its going to take her longer than that! With a stop and bad traffic its likely to be 5-6 hours.
It shud take you no more than 4 to 5 hrs at this time of night once past preston you should have a clear road all the way frm a HGV driver who does the run regular
Driving from Manchester to Glasgow within the legal speed limit is about 4-5 hrs, then 2-3 hours to St. Andrew's. Add a few tiolet and food stops to that time. The weather up here in Scotland is really good today - 26 degrees, and the roads are fine at the moment.
you cant drive to scotland but i think that it would take about three days thats my opinion
dont eat the porridge
M62 then the A1(M)
