Do you like Bus drivers?

Not all bus drivers are alike, but the majority are well trained and courteous. To give you an example, I was driving a tractor trailer through the middle of a major city a few years ago, and as I and a city bus came around a blind curve traffic just stopped in front of us. I had had a little advance warning on my CB radio, so I had no trouble slowing to a stop, but the bus driver had no warning at all and as he tried to stop, the bus broke traction and began to spin. It was full of passengers, and I had a sick feeling I was about to witness a horrible accident. To my amazement the driver rode out the spin, adjusting with as much control as he had to miss 2 cars that had stopped short near him. He ended up stopped, facing the wrong way, against the curb at the left shoulder. His skill and quick thinking probably saved more than a few lives that day, and as I passed him i gave him a big smile and a thumbs up. He shakily returned my wave. I looked at the people in the bus, and realized they had broken into applause for the driver , and it was well deserved. I would have liked to pat him on the back and told him "Damn Good Job!" All commercial drivers have differing levels of ability, and not all are as dedicated to road safety as they perhaps should be. But they all have ever increasing traffic volumes and situations to deal with, and in this case, his passengers were very lucky indeed!
Sure - they doa great job and get little thanks.. the driver on route 38 is a bit of a nut though!!
Bus drivers are the scum of the earth, ranking only slightly higher than lorry drivers. They should be forcibly retrained at Guantanamo-style detention camps and taught basic driving and courtesy skills.
no, they're always so grumpy and some of them don't know how to talk english properly. bloody immigrants

Yes I do; they are the knights of the road, and do a lousy job for rubbish pay. The guys I HATE are taxi drivers- they have a "thing" about women bikers, and will cut you up and try to push you into the side at every opportunity.
never bothered me, they have a big vehicle to control, that demands some respect, I couldn't drive one!
In general they are nice, i like it when they give you a thumbs up out of the window when you let them out! And as for taxi drivers, most of them are cool too (my dad is one) after all they are only doing their jobs. Better than the scum that scrounge off the dole and spend our tax money on fags and kappa trackies
Without wishing to generalise to much, they all suffer from B.O. Which is a real shame because they are usualy good at their job. I love the way they put their arm out of the window to help you see them, when thier big red bus pull out in front of you.
I guess I prefer lady bus drivers.

most bus drivers are fine..certain bus drivers bring trouble on themselves..you find the drivers that have been assaulted are the ones that are giving the lip to passengers..it isnt as easy as people think but its like any job, you can make it as hard you want for yourself or as easy as you want..anyway i am a bus inspector and its us the public dont like..cos we get on buses randomly and check tickets..and then issue fines to those who are fraudulantly obtaining travel.I'll get you butler!!
no most are rude think they have a god given right to do what they want, just to get back to the depot for a cup of tea with their mates
