How is easy a commute from South East London to Slough?

I saw an interesting job role outside of Central London. Unfortunately I've just bought a place in South East London and I think it might be a difficult journey. Has anyone got any advice or routes to save on journey time?

Answers:
Where in South East London.
You will need to get to Paddington Mainline then there are fast trains that leave towards Reading stopping at Ealing Broadway then I think it goes onto Slough.

Getting across town might cause problems though.

Why not do a dummy run and find out how long it will take you from leaving home to arriving at Slough.

If it is any consolation I travel from passed Slough into Piccadilly everyday leaving on the 07.02 arriving at Paddington at 7.30 and am in the office by 8.00am but the travelling does get me down but I enjoy my job so I put up with it.

Good Luck
hour and a half - 2 hours each way. i wouldnt do it!
Slough? Good and Holy Mercy, man, don't do it! I beg of you! I'd rather spend time in hell than Slough, although the two are not dissimilar.

Find another job, seriously- that place will suck the life out of your bones before you step off the train!
yeah straight out of waterloo.. easy.

Slough on the other hand.. Dreary land. I hope the money is fantastic ??
It would be a nightmare unless you can travel early morning say before 6. Best to get on the M25 go round to the M4
