Help with speeding ticket?
Answers:
First of all don't tell them it was inadvertent - that's no excuse.
To avoid points on your driving record take a driving class. most states allow you a toatl of 2-3 classes in your lifetime to avoid points. The class is long and it sux. but it's better in the long run.
Good Luck!!
just tell them an ambulance was behind you and you had to get out of the way
Your best bet is to plead not guilty and go to court and try to work out with the judge that you pay the fine for the speeding, but not accumulate points..this worked for me.
What the heck is "inadvertent speeding?" Does that mean, "If I knew there was a camera watching me I would have slowed down?" How does it differ from any other kind of speeding? Pay your fine, take your points, and drive a lot more cautiously. And don't whine.
Apparently if you send the form back unsigned they cant do anything with it, they will send it back to you but they can only do this a couple of times before giving up!
Hope it works, let me know just in case!
Go to court ask to take a driving improvement course get the ticket off your record that all you need to do and it don't get turned into your insurance
there is no excuse for speeding, we all know the rules. think of the kids who play in most of these 30mph areas
As a state trooper I can tell you that you probably will get points on your license. Speak with the judge or referee when you go to court and see if you can plead it down to a lesser offense however points will be given.
Do the following: I was told this by a copper that when you receive the first notification from the police in regard of your speeding, Ignore it. They catch so many motorists, that it is a headace to chase all incidents up. However, If you receive a reminder, then you must pay it then. Hope you have success.
Well my friend, 44mph in a 30 limit is hardly inadvertant, is it? I think you will have to take this on the chin and learn from it . remember the advert on the telly that shows just how much safer you are at 30 than at 40 .. and you did spot the speed limit sign so your speed should have been appropriate and not in the 40's ... we all hate speed cameras but they do have a use . and as a result I do drive a lot slower in restricted areas because I really value my many years of safe and clean licence driving !.
Keep your eye on the speedometer, keep your speed down lol
should not of been speeding you piece of scum.. you should be put of the road.. there is no place in society for speeding motorists.Any person who cant understand a big fu(king sign with 30 written on it does not deserve a place on the road, Driving is a privilege not a right. speeding is not big and very silly, (only Doing 44) is not an excuse. You are scum. What if somebody you love like your mother/farther or your kids get a bang of a car doin 44 in a 30 zone, how the fu(k would you like that..Not very im sure you piece of sh1t..
I guess it depends on what state your in.I'm in NJ.all you do is plead not guilty, go to court, and make sure you talk to the prosecutor to drop it down so you just get a charge and no points.I've had 3 speeding tickets and only one time i got 2 points on my license because i was going 20mph over. The others i just paid around $125.
Hope this helps, Good luck!
Improper equipment plea. It's a non-moving violation usually penalized with a small fine, no insurance or license points. Probably should go with a lawyer, you may have to get your car calibrated which costs about $25, all those costs are worth it because you'll be saving money on your insurance.
There is no such thing as "inadvertent" speeding. You have control of your car. You know how to use the gas pedal and brakes to control its speed.
If your state has an optional driver education course to get out of a ticket, you should take the course and be more careful in the future.
Say that you werent driving and it was your friend who has just returned to their home country. make one up and make up a name. They may follow it up for a while but it will waste too much police time that eventually they will give in.
I got done at 43 in a 30 and I got a fine and points. There isn't alot you can do to get out of it really - if the car is registered to you and nobody else is prepared to take responsibility for the offence then it can only go on your licence.
too late
If it was astatic camera, ask to see the picture because you dont know who was driving. that normally stumps 'em.
Take it on the chin..3 points and a fixer fine..you can plead not guilty.but you'll end up also getting clobbered for court costs.
the best advice i can give you is accept that you were breaking the law, pay the fine, take your points and.
LEARN FROM IT! (sorry)
I dont want to patronize you but the principle is really simple, the government fine and endorse peoples licences who speed to try to deter them from speeding again - having a driving licence is a privilege, not a right - maybe if you have to part with a bit more cash you may drive within the law!

If there is a LEGAL way - these guys can help. They WILL NOT help you to break the law or advise you to lie - that can get you sent to jail!!
The Forum can advise of the legality & validity of the NIP, time-outs etc.
As a side note - ALL speedometers 'over-read' (by LAW) so it was probably reading around 48 or 49mph when you were zapped. No excuse really. £60 + 3 points, OR you might be able to drag it out with a 'section 172' if you don't reply, but you'll get slapped with "failure to provide details", but if you fail in this venture. big(ish) court costs & possible "perverting course of justice".
Slow down.
unlucky
dont speed. doin 44 in a 30 is just stupid. count yourself lucky you didnt hit someones kid. pay attention or get the hell off the road.
Get this book. It has a lot of good info on how to fight and win in traffic court. It's definitely worth it.

I don't think 'inadvertant speeding' is considered any less bad than intentional speeding. Best way to avoid points os to make sure you're doing the correct speed. Cameras are just past signs to ensure that you have slowed down! Bad luck thouhg, I got stopped by police doing 85 on the moterway for driving erratically! I got charged for nothing!
In UK?
try this site.. dont mess with excuses

I havent used it but they are using case law to help your case. As far as I can work out the form that comes with the speeding fine has to inform you that by filling it in you may incriminate yourself. Apparently, it doesnt say this, it just asks for the drivers details.
This has been challenged as it is all to do with our rights in criminal cases. The Police cant ask you to give information and then use that info to prosecute you without explaining that they can do this.
I read the whole site! Im not a lawyer but the site did make sence.
Or you could just hold your hands up and say "fair cop" you will get 3 pts and 60 quid fine.
your screwed mate
don't pay fine anyway
screw there ***** laws
Try not speeding in the first place you wally.
But to dodge it, contest, and say it wasn't you driving. Sell the car and backdate the sale.
