Whats the best way for me to get from high wycombe to croydon?

It's amazing - you just HAVE to get a pratt answer to start with, don't you?
However..The sensible way would be: Train High Wycombe to Marylebone, Bakerloo Line to Oxford Circus, change to Victoria Line to Victoria, then Southern train to Croydon (check whether you want East or West Croydon, although there's a very frequent Tram between the two). Have a nice trip.
Helicopter
Train to London, tube to London Bridge or Waterloo then train to Croydon
You must take the subway from Marylebone to Victoria or Charing Cross (that depends on which time do you travel), trip takes around 1h 40. and if you drive, I don´t know how much it will take. better the train. So. the "yet" is nothing bad.

You can see later trains clicking below in the train list and the details in "view details".
Skateboard. If you have a pet, attach a harness to them and get them to pull you along. I do it all the time and I've got a car
