Where in London can I park a car for free - which streets? How to find list or map of those streets?

There are some streets in London where you do not have to pay the parking charge.

Answers:
Sorry, I don't know of anywhere you can park on the street for free. Certainly you can't in Tower Hamlets (where I live), even residents have to pay the council for a pass to park in their own street.

See: http://www.cclondon.com/infosearch/dynam. for details of the congestion charging zone, where you can find out about the zone where you not only have to pay to park in the street, you have to pay to drive down it.

To be honest, I don't know why so many Londoners have cars, it's very difficult and expensive to have one. I my opinion, you're much better off with a bicycle and an oyster card. See; http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/fares-tickets/. for details of the oyster card which allow you to use most types of public transport.
