We are going to Cornwall. What time should we leave from s. Wales to beat the traffic?
Answers:
Whatever, beware of traffic delays on the A30 between Bodmin and Indian Queens due to extensive road improvements. Maybe best to take A38 via Plymouth & St Austell. Bon Voyage.
i would go for 5am lot less traffic about on the roads,
have a nice holiday :)
If it is on Saturday, it is best to go as early as possible. 5 am is the better option.
I often do London to Penzance, have done for 25 years - I leave at 5 in the morning - works for me
you had be better off taking an express train fromlondon padding ton much easier
The earlier the better. The last few days my Dad has been travelling from the Bristol to north Cornwall, he has left home just after 5am, and has been there by 8am. If you go late at night, or very early in the morning you'll miss the traffic, and it's good chance if you are travelling with children they will be half asleep for most of the journey.
Whenever you set off you will wish it had been earlier!
I've never been, but from what I always hear on the traffic reports, I'd suggest you leave about three days before you'd like to arrive! - but anyway, have a nice time.
S.Wales? Cornwall? Its only round the corner mate, you want to be rattling down the m5 by 7.00
