Car crashed in to me it was his fault and he admits this BUT I did'nt tell my insurer about my 6 points.?

Hi

I am a named driver on my mothers insurance policy. i never told them or her that I had 6 points now they want my licence. the other drivers insurance is libal for the damage as it was his fault will my 6 points matter?

Answers:
Yes they will matter - your insurance will be cancelled - you'll not be able to get insurance for a while as you failed to disclose them, which is considered to be fraud.

When you can get insurance it will be a massive amount.
well thats a big whooopppps now isnt it?
yes it does matter because lying (or not being honest) about your policy invalidates it
It matters a lot !
as Forrest Gump would say "stupid is as stupid does" and your insurance will probably be invalid
Yes. Because you lied to obtain insurance, your insurance is invalid and the company won't pursue the claim on your behalf. Your only hope is to launch a private prosecution against him.

Oh, and get yourself a solicitor in case you're charged with driving without insurance.
How were you added to your mothers policy without the insurance company requesting your drivers license information?
Something sounds a bit fishy here but if in some way you did manage that task, it wouldn't matter because the insurance company has the responsibility to verify that information. My wife worked for many years in several insurance companies and she tells me this doesn't happen! The carrier always runs your license in the data base on every driver they insure! They may know it but have not confronted you for some reason only known to the carrier. Most people don't even realize the insurance industry has several data bases only insurance carriers have access to and is very very detailed on every single driver insured!
I dont know what '6 ponts is' so its either from another country or state than I live in.

However, the other driver IS still liable for the damage and instead of routing the claim through YOUR insurnace, if they cant/wont help you out becuase of this '6 points' business, they would pay directly to you. You'll probalby have to do more footwork.

People who are UNINSURED get hit all the time and they still get to collect.
Depends. Is six points over the limit to be an legal driver in your state? Was your mother also insured on the vehicle?

My opinion is your legality as a driver should not make a difference as far as whether or not his insurance company is liable for the damages. If the police report states that the accident was his fault, you should be compensated.

It has also been my experience that the insurance company will try to screw you any way they can. If they can get out of paying, or make you think they don't have to pay, or even make you think they don't owe you as much as they do, they will. They're in the business of making money, not protecting people and their assets. So I suggest consulting a lawyer before accepting any offer, especially if it seems like they're low balling you.
Your policy will be invalid and so you may technically have been driving without insurance.

something you don't really wanna think about!
You'ld better start saving for a new car, and the damage to the other bloke's car.

Your insurance will be voided as soon as they discover those points that you agreed to tell them you have when you signed on the dotted line.

Get used to walking / the bus / the train.
i think u have lost the claim iff u insurance ask for u lilcence they will not honor any claim because off faulse details sorry tell the truth to u ins in future
No, not regards this acciedent..

regarding your insurance. did you accrue the points this year or did you have them on your license when you renewed it (or your mother renewed it)?. that could and probably would have effected your premiums, although if the driver of the other vehicle has admitted liability then it is there insurance that will be paying out not yours..

if however it was the other way round your insurance company could state that you provided false information and they wouldn't pay out (but only if you had the points on renewal and didn't tell them).

if he's admitted liability then slap in a claim for Personal injure too..lol

can you tell i'm 4 weeks into a law conversion course.
I hope you are not a newly qualified driver because 6 points means you are banned and shouldn't even have been driving. Leaving that aside , you should have told your ins. co. about your points because they are always looking for ways to invalidate the policy and you have given them one. If this other guy is to blame them his ins. co will be paying the bill but obviously they are checking up to see that you are not banned and have even more points than you say you have so that they don't have to pay.
Oh dear they might not pay out now
I seriously doubt that the insurer didn't check your MVR when they added you to your mothers policy (insurance companies always check MVR's) so they know about your 6 pts
No. If the other driver was at fault, your points do not even figure in to the matter.
Buy the way who wants your license? If anyone take it, it would be your state DMV. People lie to insurance companies all the time that is why when you were added to your mothers policy, it was the agents responsibility
to run a DMV check on your license if he didn't to bad for him you are covered.
YES! your in trouble if im honest..
